Rufus is the Founder, Owner and CEO of 360 Media Ventures.
Rufus is a veteran of the sports marketing and media industry and has created and managed dozens of major events and produced hundreds of hours of television and digital programming throughout his career. In addition to launching and running 360 Media Ventures, Rufus founded and served as Executive Producer of the World of Adventure Sports. The groundbreaking TV series has aired throughout the years on networks including NBC Sports, NBC Sports Network and Outside Television and on its multi-tiered digital platform. The show was acquired by Powdr Corp (owner of Outside TV, 9 ski resorts in North America and Camp Woodward) in 2014.
Previously Rufus worked for Advantage International, one of the pioneers of the sports and event marketing industry. In 1997, Interpublic Group, the worlds largest marketing communications company in the world at the time, acquired the firm. Working within the newly formed IPG company, Octagon Marketing, Rufus became a Group Director in the Events & Properties Division. In 2001, Rufus was named to Octagon Marketing’s Executive Committee, which he served on until departing to launch 360 Media Ventures in 2003. Most of Rufus’ spare time is spent with his family; his wife Susan, daughter Mia, and sons Ian and Will. He enjoys most outdoor sports including skiing, mountain biking, SUP and climbing, and spent years training Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Much of his passion for sports and the outdoors is now shared with his children, exploring, spectating, coaching and more recently, simply trying to keep up.
